Topics include strategies for creating an accessibility evaluation plan and policies, universal design considerations, creating and maintaining open education resources, creating and extending support services, understanding the laws, addressing legal issues, research on accessibility, universal design & open education resources, and more.

Administration, Leadership & Policy – focuses on how to setup and administer an online/blended distance education program. Topics include administering quality measures, planning, budgeting, compliance standards (THECB, SACS, HERC, State Authorization), leadership, mentoring, institutional effectiveness, administrative support structures, upgrade management and design plans, legal and policy issues, marketing, public and legislative policy updates and the impact on distance programs, students, and faculty, and more.

Data Analytics – focuses on dealing with the challenges of big data and how to effectively use analytics to increase student success, retention, and identify at-risk students. Topics include trends showing how data analytics can help predict student success, the creation of new avenues for institutional insight, and more.

Innovation & Trends in Educational Technology – focuses on some of the latest trends, developments, philosophies, best practices, and creative ideas in educational technology.

Professional Development - focuses on concepts related to providing employees, instructors, staff, and trainers appropriate professional development opportunities to help them stay current and productive in their fields. Topics include identifying training needs, designing programming, training tools and resources, continuing education, incentives, help desk functions, call centers, technical manuals, work flows, self-help tools, written and video-based support resources, identifying student and faculty needs, and more.

Student Engagement, Gaming & Video – focuses on concepts and resources for providing technical and academic support to help distance education students succeed through engagement and course design. Topics include gaming, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and machine learning, adaptive learning, videos in education, gamification, social media in educational institutions, learning spaces, and more.
